The Federal Government has commenced the use of a satellite tracking system to identify gas flaring locations in the oil producing parts of the country, in a strategic move to bring culprits to book and thereby curb the environmentally-unfriendly practice.
The administration had rolled out a zero-gas-flaring policy, to address the pangs of unsavoury emissions, especially in the oil producing Niger Delta region of the country.
