AFRICA’S REFINING CAPACITY STILL LOW, SAYS OPECTHE huge refining gap in the Afrcian region was yesterday brought to fore by the Organisation of Petroleum Exporting Countries (OPEC), as it declared that the continent is lagging behind in implementation of refinery projects.

Specifically, Nigeria was cited among the countries that have failed to fast track the implementation of new refinery projects, while it continued to face setback on rehabilitation of the existing refineries.
