DURATION OF APPROVALS FOR OIL, GAS PROJECTS IN NIGERIA IS LONGEST GLOBALLY, SAYS PROUST

Having operated in Nigeria for the past 60 years, the French oil giant, has made giant investment strides in the nation’s oil and gas sector. In this interview with SULAIMON SALAU, the first female Managing Director of Total Upstream Companies in Nigeria, Mrs Elisabeth Proust, identifies the challenges in the industry and suggests possible ways to overcome the shale oil threat. Excerpts.   

Shale oil has been described as an energy changer and so far we have been seeing the implications manifest. What do you think Nigeria can do to tackle the threat of shale?
